Now a days loads of books are being converted into e - books. Novels, classics and the lists goes on. But somehow I am not comfortable with the e - versions of the books at all. I still prefer the actual books in my hand and read it sprawled in the most comfortable manner. What do you prefer, E - Books or Actual books?

I prefer actual books, ebooks can strain you're eyes after a while of reading, and you can't compare a screen to the pages of an actual book... at least that's my opinion...

I agree. The actual book is better.

i prefer to have an actual book, as i can take it to the park and sit anywhere i like and read it. but due to shortage of space at home to keep the books safely, i have most of them in e-versions. in E-version i can have thousands of books in a DVD which otherwise would have needed lots of space. when it comes to books i don't mind having it in any format, even though actual books are really preferred.

In the beginning stage, I loved to read ebooks. Later, I realized that are an excellent source for increasing strain to our eyes. Unlike reading normal books, It is somewhat frustrating. But ebooks are very useful if you want to refer for a particular topic instantly. Here, a need to buy a book does not arise. you can refer what ever you want by sitting in front of your computer monitor itself. But it's not well if you want to refer for a long time.

I love to read, so I go for both! I still read plenty of paper books. However, my husband and I got a Kindle for Christmas this year. It is wonderful! It reads just like an actual book. You can curl up with it anywhere. It doesnt strain your eyes. I will do some reading on the computer, but I would never dream of reading a whole book on the computer, it would kill my eyes! If you get the chance, I suggest getting an e-reader. They have all of the benefits of the paper book. But there is so much more! The e-books are actually cheaper than the paper books, because there is no cost of materials. You dont have to worry about where all of your books are stored. One of the best things about the Kindle is that I can buy new books anywhere within the US! If I am reading in the car and I finish my book, I dont have to stop somewhere to get a new book. I can instantly download a new book and keep reading! I really love that feature.

I prefer actual books, but if I see the utility aspect, I think e-books are better.. There are a number of reasons.. Paper books become absolutely useless once we've read them.. Then it hurts to give them away, and if we don't then they consume space and attract dust.. Also e-books dnt make you feel bad for trees.. Also they're freeeeeeee... Just download them from the free sites.. Also I can read them even while I'm in office, and my boss won't think I'm not working..

Actual books. I find them much easier to read. If I want to read any sort of ebook fully, I will usually print it out, and frequently have it bound at Staples. I just don't find it comfortable reading books on a computer, and I don't as yet have an ebook reader. They are still more than a bit pricey.
