Okay people listen to grandma here. Start your baby on cereal first before you get to the jar food. You can mix a little into his formula once a day to start. You may have to get a nipple with a larger hole in it. The main thing with starting food is to try it one thing at a time. Start with veggies and introduce them one at a time to make sure he doesn't have an adverse reaction to something. After veggies do meats. Feed him meals at the same time adults eat meals. He can still have formula in between, but you can start tapering that off as he starts eating more solids. Don't introduce fruits until last, because they are sweet and once he tastes them he won't want to taste new veggies and things that don't taste sweet. Your 9 month old does not need to be fed so often. Regular meals and a bottle in between if she asks seems to want it. Just taper off on the bottles and gradually increase the amount of solid food until your baby adjusts to a regular routine. My grandson was completely off the bottle by 1 year and has always been a great eater.
