windows XP vs VISTA

Ive used very Windows since the first one, i'll list them so we can see how many! Windows 3.1 Windows 95 Windows 98 Windows ME Windows 2000 - (Maybe this one doesn't count, it was specifically for business!) Windows XP Windows Vista Windows 7 (Even though it is actually the 8th!!!) XP has been great, it really was an amazing leap forward from the primary forerunner which was Windows 98. ME wasn't as reliable as 98, but XP was exceptionally better - at least until you've had it a few years and you start to get annoyed at the fact that it doesn't fix errors, it diagnoses problems but doesn't actually diagnose them enough to fix them!!!! arrrggghhh We were blessed with the release of Vista - its a memory sapper but it's nice isn't it, it fixes problems, it connects to wireless networks with ease, speech recognition software actually works!!! I haven't even tried Windows 7 yet, maybe someone can tell us about it? My main point is - some people are saying they prefer XP over VISTA after having tried BOTH, and I think that is ridiculous - what do you think?

I have has 95,98,ME,200 and XP, I have been saying no to Vista for awhile now and my Techy now says I don't have to worry about about Vista as I go go straight to Windows 7, he has been trialling for some time now and he likes it a lot and says it will be perfect for me.

Mind you my techy has always said to me Vista is good that it all depends how it is configured in the first place anyway...I just got scared as I am not the cleverest when it comes to the computer..

I would say that I liked Windows XP for one reason that people at my house are not that computer literate and they can't understand program securtiy kind of thing. I also sometime can't understand it. So, it is not as userfriednly as XP was. Now, the second thing is that at some point I have seen vista getting stuck and damaging the files. So, I would prefer Windows XP, until Windows7 comes in to the market.

I have used everything since 95. And I like XP best since I've used it since 2003, and all my software works with it. I don't mind Vista, the main thing I like about it is how it looks, and the panoramic picture maker which took me a while to figure out. It's strange XP came out it 2003 and Vista in 2007 4 years and Windows 7 less than a year later was already being made... Why is this in the seks section?

The way VISTA looks certainly got me hooked, as for Windows 7, I think they were still perfecting VISTA and just rushed it out because it had been that long, also someone has told me it is more geared for gamers, and someone else said it is basically as good and stable as apple software now - which makes me want to try it even more! I posted this in seks section by accident, I re-posted it in computers! Thanks for responding Happy Mylotting
