When did you stop singing lullaby to your children?

I have a 1 and 3 yrs old daughters. I sing lullabies whenever they are going to sleep. But sometimes I feel lazier to sing lullabies for my older one because I thought she doesn't need it. She often when to sleep by herself without lullabies. I thought she must think that I'm being unfair. But mostly when I'm tired at the end of the night all I can do was just to hum the lullabies. Sometimes I fell asleep before she did and she had to wake me up again for the lullabies. I think a 3yrs old is enough for lullabies. How about you?

I think that even as an adult, if I do not feel good I want my mom to sing to me. I know that she stoped when I was about 3 or 4 doing it all the time, but I can remember when I would have problems as a teen that she would come to my room at night and rock me and sing. It made me feel special and loved despite everything that was going on. So if you do decide to stop, still save some for special ocasions or tough times.

Thanks very much for your advice. I'll keep it in my mind. I want my daughters to feel loved, to know that I'll always be there for them.
