Do you check your weight everyday?

I did but not now. I'm bored looking at the numbers that are standing still everyday. I expect to lose 1 or 2 kg but it's so hard. And looking at the numbers everyday freaked me out. I got too much into it. And I lose my focus and concentration thinking about my weight. So I only weigh myself once or twice a week and the result is better. I lose some kgs. My suggestion is sometimes we can leave the whole weight thing when we want to lose some weight because when we put too much of our focus to our weight, we can't lose them.

You do have a good point. My weight has been fluctuating so much I have been frustrated! I check it each week or so now. I have heard though that checking it every day it is a good way to manage weight. It is easier to lose a kg or two than after six or eight kg have slipped up on you!

Yeah, I heard it is good to check our weight everyday. But it doesn't work on me. It becomes so frustrating on me and it makes me put too much concern on it so that I wasn't focusing on my job and routines. This was very much annoying because I have a job and two little daughters that needs my attention. So I decided to stop weighing everyday to get back me back on my track.

I think we all have to listen to all the advice and information we can find, then do what works for us! If it is frustrating to weigh every day, don't! If you feel better weighing in more often, then do! I am totally supportive of whatever works for you!!

I don't.... It can get frustrating and stressful looking at the scale everyday. If you're exercising and trying to lose weight, the best way to measure if you're improving or not is by taking body measurements. A lot factor affect our weight and these usually cause our weight to fluctuate.

Yeah, I tried and it's really frustrating. I stop because I remembered the article about Alicia Silverstone was supposed to lose some weight when she should wear the Batgirl costume for of Batman movie. She took strict diet but nothing loosen. Finally she gave up and eat like she used to. Then in fact she found she was losing some weight. So weight has also to do with our psychology.

That's what I read. by the way, she's a vegan now. I don't know since when but it really helps her look now in whatever it takes. I'm going to be a vegetarian too. But I know it wouldn't help me to reduce weight because I know vegetarian people who also gain fat because the way they eat. LOL

So Alicia Silverstone stopped dieting during the filming of the movie? I'm sure she had so much pressure to lose weight especially if she were doing a movie -- I'm sure she had a deadline to meet. That's not easy.

good that you stopped checking your weight every day. my suggestion is that you do it just once in ten days. that way, results tend to be more visible (if you are on a sincere weight loss spree). it is important to loose excess weight, but please do not worry about it to a point of obsession. after all, remaining healthy, happy, and active too counts a lot. good luck in your endevours.

Like I said I did. But it doesn't help me much in losing weight because I become too worry about it and it stressing me out. I think the stress is preventing me from losing weight. Like psychological problem.

I can't check my weight if I do I become focused on the number and I get discouraged from trying to lose the weight. I just do the exercise and focus on living healthy instead of the numbers, it doesn't always work but for the most part it does.

To us women weight is so controversial. We often get low self-confidence just because we got 1 more kg after we have a meal. I think it'll be best if we live the healthy live and don't put too much attention to it but of course you know not to go off the course of getting a healthy live (eat right and exercise). Being happy is also important in losing weight.
