Inspired by anime?

My attempt to check that I'm at least not *as* crazy as I've thought.
Ok, you know those times when people ask you "who is your hero", "who are you inspired by", or "what do you aspire to be", or something along those lines? Has anyone ever responded with the name of an anime/manga/video game character? Because I know I have. The values and beliefs presented in these media may be idealistic rather than realistic, but to see characters go through the incredible trials and danger in some anime shows and come out on top by the sheer strength of their will, inspires me to work harder. Current inspiration of the moment: Shuyin, from Final Fantasy X.
Anyone else?

I believe many peoples had their own inspired heroes. I like BATMAN because he had a very strong characteristic. Although he only depend on some tools and machine, but he still the great exterminator of evils.
