Happy Mothers Day all out there! Hey mylotters, how do you celebrate your mother? In our family growing up, we would make my mom whatever she wanted for dinner, and make her a dessert, give her our gifts and basically tell her how much we appreciated her all day long. She would love it when we were little and give her the pages ripped out of our coloring books folded up with Happy mothers day scrawled across the whole picture. But, how do you guys celebrate your mothers?

My sisters and I are all grown with families of our own. I had all of them along with my mom over for a brunch. We had champagne and tons of food. We gave my mom a digital picture frame. After they all cleared out, my daughter and I were home alone. She played on the computer while I watched a movie. Then later my husband came home from work and we had his mom and dad over for dinner and dessert. Once my boys were home from work, they gave me a present~ tons of chocolate, tons, I mean tons!

Earlier tonight, we took my mom out to dinner. We intended on going her to favorite restaurant, but there was an 1 1/2 wait for a table, so we went to her 2nd favorite which only had a 15-20 minute wait. I also gave her a CD I made of some of her favorite songs with a few songs that remind me of her. She really liked that; said it was very thoughtful of me. We don't really tend to do much more than that for mothers/fathers day, since it's hard for my mom to go out to dinner and stuff like that because of medical reasons.
