i prefer buying stroller bag for my school boy. so that when there are lots of books and other items, he won't suffer from carrying them. especially now bags seem to be overloaded with school things. some teachers don't schedule things to bring at school so children end up bringing everything with them. heavy bags should not be carried by shoulders by these small kids. these can cause stress and on their spine and shoulders. that's why i really prefer stroller bags than backpacks. how about you?what kind of bags do you prefer for your school kids?

If worn properly, backpacks can hold a lot of weight without causing problems. The issue is that very few children where their backpacks properly. Most will sling it over one shoulder or wear it too low. These both cause posture problems and can cause back injuries - even when the bag isnt heavy!
While the stroller bags can be a good thing, they can have problems as well. Are they easy to pick up when getting on the school bus? Can they roll over the carpet in the schools well? How much noise do they produce if you are walking through the halls while there are classes in session? Is there always a sidewalk or street that the child can walk on and pull the bag? How are they walking to pull the bag? Does it cause them to lean to the side or backwards? That can also cause posture problems and thus back injuries.
If the weight of the bag is a problem, it should be addressed with the teacher. Carrying a couple of books isnt a problem when they are carried properly. We just have to teach our kids good lifting and carrying techniques. This will help them when they are young as well as when they are older.
