Do you believe in horoscopes?

Are one of those people who truly believe in what the horoscopes are predicting or telling them? or are you like me who just likes to see what it has to say, but doesn't really govern my actions? There are times though when it's tempting because it seems that what it says truly is right.

I think horoscopes are all in your mind. In highschool my best friend and i had our horoscopes texted to our phones every morning as a daily alert and it almost seemed like we lived our day just to make our daily horoscope true. Its a mind game and any statement regarding what is in your agenda for the day can almost relate to anything. We found ourselves saying, "Oh that what our horoscopes meant this morning!" throughout the day when in reality that just seemed silly. I do believe your character and traits do relate to your sign but not what you future holds, whether its just a daily prediction or for the upcoming year. Horoscope are in good spirit either way!

I do believe in horoscopes.. but only to some extent.. But I firmly believe the concept of "waves" surrounding us.. Each and every person has a certain pattern of waves surrounding them.. It depends on the way they think and act.. those who have a lot of positive thinking have positive waves around them.. Some people believe that these waves are in turn governed to some extent by the planet positions at the time of their birth.. But horoscopes are PREDICTIONS and may not be 100% true.. but yes, if you get your planet positions right, your horoscope is predicted by the right person you can get abt 98-99% correct answers..

Nah, I dont believe in those stuff but i always had fun reading them. Some of it strikes me but most of it dont. I just happen to read them coz some of my friends like reading them. What I think about those horoscope makers is that when ever they say something positive or nice about your horoscope, then off course you will be flattered a begin to dream hopefully it would come true like "today, you'll met the woman of your life".

I guess it also boils down to our psyche and the law of attraction too, believing will soon become action. That's why these horoscopes seem interesting. But still, if we just keep it fun, then it's okay.

Most of the time not because every time I tried to have faith in them, they betrayed me. So, I am not the one who follows horoscope. Although, I belive that position of stars has an important impact on our life but I don't believe in horoscope which is published every day in news paper!

Yes sometime I believe in horoscope. But one needs to create a limit in believing horoscope. Horoscope is just a guidance for your next step. For example if daily horoscope says that you are going to get short temper or going to have fight then for that you can try to avoid fight with people around you. In my point of view horoscope is good to believe till you are able to take it +ve way.

It's nice when you put it that way, it's just some sort of guidance or warning, doesn't really mean things could happen, but it's nice to be reminded prior so that we could be reminded when we do need to adjust our attitudes. Thanks for the response.

i don't believe in horoscope, it's just a coincidence that what they say sometimes collide to what we are doing. i don't believe on the things that people have predicted, there is only one God that can predict our life.

I don't take them seriously. But I do sometimes wonder if there is some truth to 'real' astrology, beyond the sun sign that is applied to 1/12 of people. My chart as a whole scares me with how well it seems to suit me, and a horoscope based on all the parts I would give serious consideration to.

I personally think that if you read them it stays in the back of your head and you do what the horoscope says without thinking.. They can be fun to read just dont read the one for your birthdate.. Thats what i think anyway...

I used to believe in Astrology, because it seemed like it was actually predicting things for me.If we can find a good astrologer,he can predict our future with some accuracy up to some extend. But,now it very difficult to find a good astrologer. Some people with out knowing astrology cheat people and destroying the reputation of good astrologer also. Most educated people dismiss astrology as rubbish, but there is something in it. I still believe that more research is needed in this area. There is some mysterious force controlling all our day to day activities.with out seeing God,we all believe in God.I think arts like face reading, palm reading and horoscope reading needs more study. There is lot of scope in this are.if we explore it in a proper way.

No, I do not believe. It is easy to prove with the systems that just use the sun signs - They group all of humanity into twelve groups, and surely there are more than 12 destinies out there. Here is an interesting post: http://en.allexperts.com/q/Sceptics-Skepticism-3364/starting-become-skeptic.htm It explains very well how the scam works.

Of course sometimes horoscopes seem to be right! They are written in a very general way and each reader interprets it according to what is happening in their own lives! They are purposely written with vague ideas both positive and negative! There are a million ways of interpreting the simple 'It will be a good time to start thinking of making changes in your life, or they may be forced on you.' There are millions of people who share the same signs. If you knew how many people could speak English and have access to a computer then divide that number by 12 it's still in the millions. I am one of 3 Capricorn sisters and we often 'compared' our horoscopes. The only rule was you had to read the horoscope after the day or month. You then had to choose one statement that you thought was true and say why! Then say if you agreed with each other reasons. The game as spread to the evergrowing number of younger 'Capricorns' in the family! There's always someone who can come up with a negative interpretation! As much as we like to think we are 'different' we could read any sign and find as much 'true' in them too.

It's true, most of them are vague and it's up to the reader to figure or decipher and relate it to one's life. Nice response.

No, i don't believe in horoscope but i do read them as a guide in a sense that sometimes i should be reminded of something. Horoscope usually tells you what you are taking for granted like health, family or friends. Sometimes horoscope prompts me to do things better. When horoscopes tells me something that is really specific, then i chose to skip because i don't want something to be controlling my life. Afterall, the decision is still mine.

I enjoy reading my horoscope from time to time I find it entertaining. However I don't 100% believe in them. While I enjoy trying to relate my life to what the horoscope is saying I know that the horoscope isnt true. All because I dont believe in them doesnt mean I cant enjoy reading them.
