I am a software developer by profession. This is not my dream job. What I would really like to do and get paid to do it is to travel. Maybe as a travel show host, or even just a researcher that allows me to travel to certain places that I would normally normally not to go but would love to go to. What is your your dream job? Is it so different from your current job?

I am currently not pursuing my career anymore. I now work from home doing my own investments and earning from the internet. I had spent nearly 25 years first as a systems analyst, then progressing to IT management, and stayed in one job all my working life. But this was not what I had hoped to be before I came out into the working world. My dream ambition was to become either an engineer or an architect. I studied till university, but my subject combination did not qualify me to be an engineer nor an architect. It so happened that after I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree, I applied for an IT job because IT was an area that was coming into prominence then. But I have no regrets, because it turned out to be quite glamorous and IT was one of "the jobs" to be in these past few decades. Many people were clamoring for it, even to this day. But if I have to relive my working life again and start all over, I might not choose to go into IT knowing how challenging and tough this profession can be.

That's good to hear. I hope I wouldn't reach 25 years before I can get out and do what I would really like to do. Working at home and doing investments in the internet seems like a very good idea and I hope in the next few years I can gradually work my way up there. Hope you can give me some tips. My future seems to be veering towards your present situation.

I am not right now, it's really hard to hunt for a job that you loved. All the thing is not perfect. Even though I don't like my present job a little, but I am not going to resign in the next few months. I need learn more for my future job.

No, my job right now is not my dream job in fact I hated this job, it never help my faltering self-esteem to float. What I really wanted in life is to become a screenwriter or a book author, but then life is so cruel and didn't give me an opportunity to make my dreams come true. But I always believed that everything is not too late yet, so I am working hard in fulfilling my dreams, right now I wrote several manuscripts and looking for an appropriate publication to submit my works. I also practice writing through writing blogs and accepting writing projects as a freelance writer online.
