Which do you think is the best telent show among the two, American Idol or America Got Talent? Both shows has judges but AI now has 4 judges unlike AGT they only have 3. I havent heard any one from AGT being launched to full stardom unlike AI, you can see that their winners have contracts and ongoing concerts. what do you think guys?

I am going to have to go with America's Got Talent. Just simply because they have more variety of talent. Somebody doesn't necessarily have to be a good singer to win. They could be a dancer, ventriloquist, piano player, etc. I enjoy watching the singing talents on American Idol as well though. so I enjoy both shows.

Wow! I thought AI has a lot of followers but I think its not about if they have 6 digit contract with a big label but its the talent it self.

I find America's Got Talent more interesting to watch because of the variety. The American Idol winner gets a recording contract, but you're also pretty much contracted to be their performing slave for awhile. This article sounds a little scary: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7046600 You definitely are benefited by appearing on the show but I'd rather struggle for fame but be independent, to be honest. Of course America's Got Talent may have similar rules but I don't know anything about it.

Your right, AGT is not just for singing but also for other talents it maybe dancing or other physical talent that one can perform. The counter part of AGT in Brittain got Suzane Boyle now star and thanks to youtube. I just hope that AGT can produce more talents that we can see not only during their (AGT) show.

I think America's Got Talent is best simply because they search for TALENT as opposed to Idol searching for singers only. There is a ton of talent out there...a lot of which don't sing. America's Got Talent propelled Terry Vader into a HUGE contract in Las Vegas. Maybe you don't consider that to be "full stardom" but Terry Vader is now earning millions he would not have made before. I see him on television shows every so often too. The American public seem to hold our musicians to a very high regard with other talent being basically ignored.
