I am sure there are many guides that can help you to do that. I don't know either and I did write once for someone and he got accepted. Cheers

first you need to give your name and contact information. second, is that you have the remember that people like yourself will be reading the resume, 1 page is too short, 3 pages are too much, 2 pages will be perfect. also try to make sure that who ever will be reading your resume will see the information they need on the very first page, you don't want to put the best part of our resume at the last page. (its not save the best for last) you want them to notice you right away, don't let them browse your resume too much, it simply mean that there's not much good stuff in there. try to follow this pattern 1."previous job"- lesser the better, more previous jobs mean your more likely to leave their company as well. more tenured positions means you will stay with the company longer 2."skills"- what your capable of, more skills you have the more the company will profit from you 3."educational background"-they wouldn't give a damn what you did at school or what degree you finished, as long as you can do the job for them and possibly make them richer, your hired 4."personal information"-they don't care if your tall or fat or what ever else, as long as your useful you're OK if you check my simple pattern you will notice that it is more about you being able to provide more for the company than the company provide for you
