Getting my tongue pierced again

I had my tongue pierced for about a year but had to take it out when I had my tonsils out and by the time I came round again, my tongue had healed up. I want to get it gone again but I don't know if I'd have the balls to do it again. It hurt so much last time and took ages to heal. Has anyone else had their tongue done a second time? How did it go?

Everyone has always said that after they take it out it closes. I have mine out for about 4 years now, it is still open. I can put my ring back in no problem.

I already tried putting the stud back in and I can't.

had my tongue pierced twice and it closed up twice too. hehe!the tongue is a soft tissue, it heals faster. i love playing with my tongue piercing. rolling it around my lips, or my GF's lips. :)
