Is there anyone who has tried Windows 7 beta? It was made available to download for free at the beginning of its launch but only limited people were able to download it. Microsoft allowed a limited number of downloads. Did you download it or got it from a friend? How did you find it, is it any better than Vista or XP?

I have not tried windows 7 yet. If you are sure that they have lunched their trial version then one thing you can do for downloading it. You can go to any torrent site and search for it. I think there you will find it because as soon as any new os or other software is lunched it is made available there. So you can give a try. I have used vista. But according to me xp is the best. If you see xp and vista the difference is that vista has tons of new drivers and the look is improved a lot. Apart from that I don't see much of upgrade which we use in our daily life. But vista take lots of RAM compared to XP than it is not possible to run on older machines due to lack of ram. So I think XP is the best OS.

I still use windows xp v.2, and v.3. I think if we have more upgrading our but computer is running slow, that will be not good between P.C and software. I am going to download when windows 7 is ready.

Yes, I downloaded the beta version from Microsoft a few months ago and have been using it consistantly ever since. Windows 7 is a decent operating system and a definite improvement on the ill reputed Vista. Prior to Windows 7 becoming available I stuck with windows XP, but now I have acquired Windows 7 RC1 from Microsoft and intend to continue using it until the final release comes available.

I did try Windows 7 beta and compared its performance with Vista. Windows 7 is better than Vista in terms of performance. Windows 7 has faster boot time compared to Vista. Basically, Windows 7 look and feel is like Vista. However, because of some nice tweak, it is certainly better than Vista. What supposed to work with Vista should have no problem with Windows 7. I did try to use Vista driver to install on Windows 7 and it works fine. Moreover, Windows 7 hardware requirement is certainly lower than Vista, even a netbook can run Windows 7 smoothly. Anyway, i personally still prefer to use XP. In between Vista and Windows 7, I would opt Windows 7. One special feature i like about Windows 7 is its super bar.

i see soemthing about windows 7 and seem better than vista or xp too..surely now there are just abeta vesion but i think this will be in the starter edition so will see!! I think windows seven will try to concentrate towards the new market trend as graphics and functionalities so multi-touch technology and othe rinteresting features should be available soon!! I think it can be a good point in the microsoft os development but we must see if the mistakes of the past will be still available in the new os too or not!!

I didn't download it my friend. I never tried that new operating systems by Microsoft. I think they provide free download for trials in the market. More people I know that Vista, is not good for them and they swift into XP. I don't think it is better than XP, too.

windows 7 is faster than vista windows xp is faster than vista so between xp and 7 , i still think xp is still the best because of driver support, if you're changing OS, you must have all the drivers needed for your driver to run smoothly or else, you cant use the full capability of your machine.

Vista sucks. I tryed Windows 7 and the only thing that i can says it's... "Windows Xp is the best Microsoft Operating System". Windows 7 have a pretty interface, but you need a good hardware machine. Windows 7 is nothing out of this world
