Looking for a sweet tea recipe

I remember my Uncle Rich always making great sweet tea when I was a kid, he was a true Southern from Georgia. I can't ever get it to taste good. I am looking for a recipe that uses real sugar and one that uses Splenda. I have read that you should put the sugar in the pitcher first then pour the hot tea and I have read you should put the tea in first then the sweetner. Any recipes out there!!!!!
