That’s right! Have you ever heard of such a thing? In speaking with an elderly friend of mine the other day, we were talking about sight. The man claimed that he used to have to wear glasses and that two years ago you let go of his glasses. The man added that he doesn’t need to wear glasses anymore and claims that he can see just fine. This man still drives and does carpentry work. I am amazed to say the least as I can only hope I could experience the same thing. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing? Have you experienced such a thing yourself or know anyone that has?

My Eye Doctor told me that at a certain stage cataracts correct your vision, but this never lasts long. It has something to do with the growth of the cataracts. This may be what happened.

Hm, perhaps. Thanks savypat, I will have to ask him next time i see him. Usually you can see them and well I haven't looked hard at his eyes but maybe I should, lol. I think I would rather wear my glasses than have cataracts.

My husband wore glasses for most of his life and then he had the PRK done on his eyes and now he doesn't wear glasses anymore either! There's lasik and PRK. He choose the PRK because it's much safer than the lasik. The doctor would have to explain how it's so for I don't get the gist of it all. Hubby loves it! Now as he got older, he has to wear glasses to read or drive at night. Other than that, he's glasses free for the most part.

Wow, this sounds like something I would opt to do rather than lasik surgery. Thank you for the response.
