Does the comments on blogs get included in the post count?

A blog question again. I finally after ten days of joining mylot, went ahead to see the blog section. There are a lot of blogs which are really interesting. There are loads of them we can comment on. They are really worth the time. Just curious though. Do they count the comments as a part of the post count. Though whether they pay or not will not stop me from commenting on blogs but was just curious.
