I have just one TV in my house and boy of boy, do we argue over the serials to watch. I like to watch soaps and serials, whereas my husband and son like to watch matches. Unfortunately they co-inside with my timings. They gurdgingly hand over the remote to me, but the moment my serial is over, I cannot watch anythig else. They pounce of me and take the remote and I give up too. Very often we do have hot words in the process. Does this happen to you guys also ?

I had also this problem in my house. We have also one TV.We means my wife and me argued one another over TV program me.To avoid this I attached a TV card in my computer. Now I see my favorite program me without disturbing her.You can also avoid fighting following my technique.

Thats a very nice idea and what a loving husband you are, to let her get to the TV and you on your comp. Now I know, no girl can break up your love for your wife. These little things tell a lot. Well done.

Me and my wife don't fight for remote, because we like to watch only comedies or songs after 10pm.We are not used to any serials. It is the kids who fight for the remote. While my daughter wants to see some serials,my son like to see some songs in the cd player. So,they fight for sometime and my daughter use to convince her little brother. And we have to put our nose sometimes to solve the issue.Cheers!

Ahhhh ! Welcome to the club. At least you both dont fight. The kids always do and Im sure your daughter gets her way. Girls mostly do. I can see the scene clearly in my minds eye. Poor parents having to solve fights. All a part of life, but a very loving part. Thanks.

We never fight over who gets the television remote control. For one thing, if you don't like what you're watching then just go to another television set - that's what I like about my dad's place :P He has enough so no one would bother him when he's watching television. Also, we sort of got the training where we never got attached to the television. We rarely watch, only when we're really bored. So we don't have any soap operas that we just have to catch at a certain hour :P Thanks for the response on my discussion!

Hiya oyenkai, good to know you all are not addicted to the tv. very rare in a family. But at least you have more than one tv to watch when you are bored. Thats a plus point. Guess your dad realised that he would be disturbed seeing his programmes with only one tv and very wisely installed some more. Good for you and him. Thanks.

Welcome to the club ! I guess, till we get out of the tv addiction, this is going to be so in most of the houses. At times its fun, at times it irritates me no end. Guess we all have to learn and live with the constant bickering and words. lol.Thanks.

EVERYDAY... OMG. I have to fight for the remote everyday. I am always watching something I can't stand. We have 4 tv's in this house but only one is hooked up to the satellite. The kids each have their own, one for movies and one for gaming, and we have one in our room just to watch dvd's. I guess it's time we upgraded and got another receiver! We exchange some not so nice words back and forth too :P

Welcome to my world. With four tvs you still get to fight. haha. Well, since only one is connected to the satellite, its normal. Guess the tv becomes a central point for the family and when you dont get to see what you want, words fly.

Thank god i have my own television in my room so i do not need to fight for the remote ;) apart from that, a person sometimes rushes into my room to have a quick glance at a channel without my permission, which obviously pisses me off...

You are lucky, at least you can watch your programmes in peace. Well most of the time. So enjoy.
