There are tons of things I do with potatoes. My husband and I both love them. But since it is spring time and grill season, I will share this one. Wash the potatoes. Cut them into even thick slices. Slice an onion into medium slices. Slice a stick of butter into pats. Between each slice of potato, put a slice of onoin and a pat of butter. Pour garlic and pepper of the potato. Wrap the whole thing up in foil. It will look like a giant potato. Place them on the grill. Rotate occasionally. Cook until they are finished. That is one that I learned from my mother-in-law. Everyone always loves them. Super tasty! (Even if they arent at all healthy!)

I¡ll try it too, seems really tasty...about healthy you can change butter for margarine, same flavour, more insaturated oils, less fat ;)

This is a potato dish that I make quite often. Cut the potatoes into cubes(I usually use about 4-5 med or 3 large sized potatoes). Then chop up half a bell pepper and onion. Mince 2 cloves of garlic and add about two handfulls of mushrooms(I get the ones that come pre-sliced). In a mixing bowl put all the these ingediants togther and mix them well. Then I pour some olive oil over it to coat everything then I put alittle in my skilet as well. I saute this(dont forget to stir) for about 10-15mins or until the pototoes are tender and the onions, bellpepper and mushrooms are fully sauted. Once done I top with chesse and tomatoes. My family loves it for dinner or breakfast.

My family eats alot of potatoes so I tend to make different kinds of potatoes. You got your boiled, fried, whipped, mashed potatoes but I get bored of them quite fast. I like to make scallop potatoes. I do them both in the oven as well on the BBQ and in the slow cooker. I can't really give you any recipes as I don't do them the same all the time. Another one we love to do is on the BBQ. Wrap them up in some foil and BBQ them up. Another one on the BBQ is cut up, with onions, spices, some butter and throw them on the BBQ. With the small new potatoes we throw them on squers along with red/green peppers, onions and throw them on as is. When it is wet and cold we like to make potatoe soup as well. It is really delicious and does help out alot with colds etc.

I love potatoes! When my kids were little, I made this simple dish. I would slice potatoes and onions and lay it all together in a greased baking dish. I then add salt and pepper, then place grated cheese on top. (I like lots of cheese)... maybe throw in a little garlic as well.. then add a few small spoons of butter in different spaces in the dish. Add a little milk.. enough to cover the bottom. Place the dish in the oven and bake until the potatoes are done!

apart of frying or roasting them...have you tried to use very little potatoes, partly boiled, then put some butter on a pan, then add the little potatoes peeled and some fresh finely chopped parsley? don't forget to salt them or they'll taste too sweet...if you give me 24 hours I'll post you some more, that are usual in spain (and not the typical spanish ommelete that haves potatos an onion) :)
