I can't believe I did it either. I was applying for an office position at a place in my hometown. I had my resume all typed up and was dressed to kill. I walk in to the office and meet my interviewer. I shake there hand and then before I could stop myself I say "Are you are Mr. or a Mrs.?" OMG! I could not tell what she was! She is more masculine than my own boyfriend and there is NOTHING feminine about him! I could not tell by the clothes she was wearing what she was, but I still can't believe I said that! I made it through the interview ok I guess, but man was she cross!

I think you'd better hear her voice first. Although you can get she was a man or woman, but i believe you can recognize from her voice. I think this should be your most weird and braveful experience in your entire life ever. Perhaps she had experienced with your question that's why she didn't mind with it. Or she thought you are just a teenager with less experiences so she forgave you right at that time. Good luck for you and have a nice day. Happy mylotting.

OMG hahahaha, not the best thing to have said, at least he/she didn't kick you straight out but then when you think about it maybe they are fair minded and will take you on your ability, I hope you get it, I will be hoping for you.

Maybe you should have continued with, "are you lesbian"?
Seriously, I can't imagine how embarrassing that was. But seems you handled things well afterward. And who knows, your straightforwardness is what they are looking for in the job.
. But next time you are called for an interview, try to learn who will be interviewing you beforehand. You don't want to be caught in such situation again, right?
