The plumber just overcharge his service

Yesterday, the faucet at our bathroom is leaking water, so I called the plumber over today to take a look. The plumber replace the washer in the faucets, and doing some screwing, etc..... The final price he came up with is $240. I said what is the matter with him. Only an hour work of simply replacing some washers costed me $240? He gotta be kidding. This is overcharging.
