Windows Vista is also an operating system just like windows vista it is upgraded version or we can say the new operating system from windows xp it is quite complicated and also real slow to run windows Vista you need higher system configuration where as windows xp is better, I am using widows xp recently since its good works fast and perform good I love to use this operating system and I like to use it..I had used windows vista once but tis slow and create problems to run big software so I prefer windows xp rather than windows vista

Firstly, both XP and Vista are operating systems not browsers. Firefox, IE and Opera are examples of browsers. Remember Windows 2000? came out just before XP but didn't last long, that is like Vista, which will soon be replaced by Windows 7. Having run XP and Vista on identical machines side by side I can say XP is a lot faster. all the best urban

Windows Vista is the latest edition in the Windows Family. Xp is good and stable. Vista is faster. It needs a higher system requirement like 2 GB ram, dual core processor to run smoothly.According to me if u are good with computers u can go ahead and install vista. There will be some compatibility issues with some softwares but can be resolved very easily. for any more assistance please feel free to ask...

It doesn't really require 2 GB ram nor dual core processor. The minimum would be 1 GB ram, and if you could afford several performance issues, it would still work under 512 MB ram. The processor could also have a single core, with maybe 2 GHz.

Windows vista is hard to get used to. I have it on my latop that I use everuday to come in here and my desktop has windows xp. Vista does take more resources than xp, but I like it better. It does look nicer than xp I think. I have some programs that will work with vista even if it says xp, as it is backwards compatible with xp. They are finally gettig a lot of software that is made for vista. I don't use my desktop, but if I need to at any time I will. I just happen to like using the laptop better, as vista to me is faster than xp, but then that is just my opinion. Well, good luck to you and happy mylotting.

As to the operation system, I have used from DOS to windows Vista. Vista is the latest version of microsoft. I dont like vista, the reasons are: 1, Vista is too large--ofter 5-10G! My harddisk is only 60G, I dont want to waste so many space on it. 2, Some popular software, especially games, are not support by Vista. I have to change back to XP to play games.:) I think Vista is only an interim operation system, it will be replaced sooner by the next generation microsoft operation system!

Windows Vista is the newer version of WIndows. Before this I use Windows Vista, but I change it to WIndows XP because many software did not fully supporrt Windows Vista. The features of Windows XP is much easier than Windows Vista. I recommend you to just stay with Windows XP, but if you insist to use Windows Vista, I advise you to upgrade your ram to the highest ram such as 2gigabyte.

Well, they are operating systems actually. Vista is the more advanced version, ofcourse. The difference is in the shell. Vista has a totally new kernel and therefore is not prone to the same viruses and problems that XP is. Notably when a CD is popped in, Vista doesn't automatically run the file specified in autorun.ini. That way, you are better protected from viruses that use this method to propogate. Also, Vista is more visually appealing, more stable than XP as developers haven't had the time to make new viruses for Vista yet :)

Windows Vista is a newer version of XP. They are operating system from Microsoft. They have a lot of differences. Vista needs a higher requirements in your end, specifically in your RAM. There are a lot of applications that are not compatible with vista as well. What Im using right now is XP. I'm already used to it. I don't encounter a lot of problems when I have new applications that I need to install using my XP OS.

I had windows vista, and I to switched back to XP. I love XP, vista has to many issues. If its installed on a computer that it didn't originally come on chances are you computer is going to run slower, only because the program is so much larger than xp. IT looks pretty but really XP gets the job done just fine.

Windows XP is older and is more closely related to the way Windows ME or Milennium verson was like. It's a little easier to use and to me it's a lot better. There have been a lot of problems with Windows vista despite all the new perks that come with it.

Windows Vista has way more bugs, problems, faults, with a few handy features. Compared to the the malfunctions though the Vista isn't exactly the best choice... I have 2 and I have several problems with them.
