My parents especially my father was a good cook. Every time there's an occasion in our home, he usually cooks the food for us. Since we are pasta lovers, he always cooks spaghetti for us. And when it comes to viands, we love the "adobo"of my our dad. How bout yours?

Barbeque dry rub is one of the most frequented dish we make for occasions, for the reason that everyone at home and the guests simply love it. Recently I tried one interesting variation of the bbq dry rub and believe it or not, it was a great hit! Would you too love to try this recipe - http://www.ifood.tv/network/barbeque_dry_rub/recipes Another such frequented entry on the table is chili, especially the true texas version! Try out this, if you too are a chili fan - htt://www.ifood.tv/network/chili/recipes

Hi, It all depends what the special ocation is. For birthdays and Christmas I usually make a roast beef, some roasted chicken and pork. I ghave mnay slads and everyone fills his own plate. If I have 4 or 6 people I do different things depending on who my visitors like.

Well we have a wide range to choose from for festive occasions but most of the recipes are quite elaborate and time consuming. And Indian food is best made with fresh ingredients so a lot of time goes for preparing the spices and pastes which must go to a special dish. Since I go to office regularly, on festive holidays I really don’t want to make too much fuss but even then maybe I’ll cook a special mutton dish, a special rice dish, some vegetarian side dish and a chutney or a sweet dish. That would be enough for me.

gangis, Cooking like life must always strive to be balanced and moderated. You will need to remember that the family including you should have a healthy and balance diet, so doing our homework like knowing our families health, medical limitations and lots of balance diet ideas will be the order of the day. Such things are never useless or vain but it would make you ever more resourceful. Cheers.

Nice one, skysuccess!!! You're right!!! That's why now my family became health conscious in terms of food diet. We cook food that is good to our health since that my family heritage are prone to diabetes and high blood. Therefore we usually eat food with less fat and low salt and less sugar to prevent such diseases.. Thank you and have a nice day.....
