It's so sad...

I need to say something that happened yesterday evening. I was on the highway (on the passenger seat), when I saw a car which had stopped on the extreme left hand lane of the highway. Quite a distance away, I saw quite a big dog lying there motionless. The owner of the car was besides his car, making a phone call on his cell phone. It was quite a sad scene. Till now, I'm still thinking about the poor dog and why had it run out of the highway where there are so many cars. It really makes me think a lot... Have you ever encountered or experienced of something similar? How do you feel about that?

A mallard duck was killed on the road a couple of weeks ago. It made me so mad and sad. i could not imagine how that could have happened. It was a male duck and I wondered if the ducks mate was looking for it. A duck moves so slow that I do not understand how someone could not have seen it. Maybe it occurred in the morning and there was fog. That may be the reason.

Oh my god. How did that duck get onto the road? I do feel pity for the duck. It's so sad that such things happened on the road, and animals been knocked down and such. Well, did you see the accident, or did you read the article in the newspaper? What happened to the driver too? Did he run away after knocking down the duck, or did he reported to the police about this?

The duck's body was in the middle of the road. I don't think anyone knows who did it. It was just sad.

woww... it is really so sad to hear that... poor dog... fortunately the owner is responsible enough to come down from the car and look after the dog... i hope the dog will be alright and can be rescued... i always feel very sad when i heard something like this happen to an animal... i never witness something like this before except for a driver who hits a rat or a chicken back in my home country... take care and have a nice day...

Yes, I do hope so too. I hope that help could come in time, although it was quite unlikely. The dog seems to be tossed quite far away, meaning that it must be quite a big impact on it. Happy mylotting...

I came across a little dog that had been hit by a car on the highway just a few days ago. and whoever hit that poor little dog just kept going and did not even stop. I was so mad. My dog has a fence she can run and play in where I don't have to worry about her getting in the road. Plus I constantly check on her to make sure she is ok. All owners should be more mindful watching your pets and these type of things would not happen.

Oh, that's another irresponsible driver. Did you happen to see the car plate number? He should be sent to jail for the hit-and-run accident. I really cannot understand why these people couldn't just come out of the car and send the dog to the vet straightaway. It could have save that little dog's life. Yes, I believe that it is best to keep your dog in the house. It's a dangerous "world" out there for them...

Hello Gcorp, I haven't have the experience of this yet. But i did saw a cat bleeding in its head once, i was so scare at that time. When i got back to my dorm, i talked about this with my roomates, they were sad about it. It was said that cat have 9 lives, is it true? If so, how can the poor cat die?

Oh, it's really very pitiful... I do hope that someone did help the cat in stopping the blood, or bring the cat to the vet. I will say that it isn't really true that cats had 9 lives. It's just that it's because there are some incidents of cats falling down from high trees and such, but they survived the fall somehow. If there's no proper treatment for the cat which is bleeding in its head, it may die from the bleeding. I got a feeling that the cat is being abused and hit by some people on the head, thus the bleeding. Over here, a few months ago, I had read in the newspaper that "wild" cats are being abused here by people. The cats abuse cases had worsen recently. A kitten was recently found to be brutally killed and dismembered... I'm wondering where had all the hearts of these people go to. The cats are also living animals which are living in the same world as we are. They have their own lives and family too. It's just too sad...

It's a pity! Dog has no concept that he ought to go along with footpath. I always see many dogs or cats run across street or road in busy traffic which buses , trucks or other cars, are shuttling . One morning, on my way to work, I saw a yellow and white cat lying on road with blood wet, Oh, it's so horror that he was flated by car without distinguishing eyes or mouths. You can't imagine how cruel it is !

You mean the driver just ran over the cat and ran away without stopping. It's really unforgivable for the driver to do that. I hope that someone did stop and make a police report about this. I do understand that dogs and cats do have no concept that they should not be running across the road. However, people have no rights to just run over them and just ran off without stopping! These dogs and cats are all living things as well, and this cat may just have an owner who is wondering where his/her pet had ran to...

Well, I agree to this. Animals are all confined to their own cages and spaces. There are lesser green space available in most parts of the world, while more and more tall buildings are seen all over the world. Well, I don't think we can do anything about all these...
