I am having a grumble tonight...I have had the flu for 2 weeks now & haven't been able to shake it no matter what I do...I don't feel sick as such but I am getting tired of coughing & blowing my nose ALL the time!!! I ended up with the glu because I woke up one night freezing my butt off because the dogs had gotten under the blankets on my bed & STOLE the blankets from me. This is also my first winter back in South East Queensland in 5 years & the temperatures we are getting now is what we get in Mackay (where I was living in North Queensland) in the middle of winter so I knew I would get sick as I haven't acclimatised yet...Overall, I guess you could say I'm sick of being sick...Do you get moments like this?

Wow, 2 weeks??? I couldn't imagine having the flu for that long. Then again I did have a cold that lasted almost 2 months once. That was a fun one. Especially since I was pregnant with my oldest and stopped gaining any weight after my fourth month (when I first became sick). And with the last flu I had, it lasted long enough...about 4 days. Though it was 4 days of hell. I literally had %^#@ coming out at both ends at the same time for the first couple of days. Talk about nasty! To make matters worse, I didn't even feel sick until later in the day while I had been running errands. I don't know how I was able to do what I did and not throw up until AFTER I got home. Heck I even somehow got the groceries in the house, and I got a big cartful load that day before I tossed my cookies in the sink. And here it is spring where I live, so it's not like it's freezing cold outside. As it is it's supposed to be in the triple digits this weekend and it isn't even summer yet. But I had the chills a couple of weeks ago just the same. Yep, being sick is no picnic, is it? I hope you feel better soon!

Nope! No swapping allowed! LOL As much as I dislike hot weather during the day I love the warm nights that we get here. One thing I am grateful for is that I didn't have that much coughing with this flu, and it only came on after all the other gross stuff left. And my nose didn't drip once! One thing that I can do without is dealing with a runny nose. So I'm especially grateful for that!

It definately isn't a picnic...it's not like I should be bed ridden though, I just have a bad cough & have to blow my nose moreso than usual but it's still annoying!! Can I swap you my fall for your spring? I hate getting 10 degrees celcius overnight!!

Yes last two weeks I don't know if it is flu because I don't have a fever. I only have cough, colds and headache. It is very difficult for me if I have cough I can't do anything and it is bothersome. Now that it is rainy season here in the Philippines flu is very common. Swine is another illness that scared us here but we are lucky that we don't have it yet here. Right now I recovered but still I have cough but not that worst.

I hope you recover fully soon...I hope I do too. I just wish it wasn't winter because I would find it easier to recover if the weather was warmer.

Oh, I am so sorry you are going through this. There is nothing like bing sick and not being able to shake it. A few years back I got some weird cold type virus and I was sick for a little over a month. A week of it was in bed and the rest of the time I was stuffy and congested. It was so bad. I got so tired of being home and staying away from people. It is to hard to put your life on hold that long. Take lots of vitamin c and zinc. My doctor said that this will help your body fight it. Get better soon.
