A lot of people, in fact nearly everyone i know has facebook, but I have recently heard about this new site called Twitter. Do you have facebook or Twitter? Which one do you prefer and why?

I never really liked face book, I have an account but never use it. I could never see what the attraction is with facebook, although everyone else seems to love it. I do use Twitter and I like that a lot, it does not take that much time and is simple to use. I use twitter just to keep up to date with a few friends, websites and some of my interests.

Me too. I never really liked facebook as well. I use both and like Twitter's style better.

I use both. And twitter integrates with facebook too, so when you update twitter, it also updates your facebook status! And when you do, Facebook is smart enough to filter at responses that begin with @. Nice huh? Sometimes I bypass the twitter and only update facebook (and vice versa) if my status is geared toward one set of friends or the other.

I am on both Facebook and Twitter. I do not have either on my cell phones so I do not get alerts. I check the sites online and I find Twitter rather boring. People have asked to follow me and when I see that they are writers or associated to writing in some way, I will accept them because I have Triond on Twitter so all my submissions there will go up on Twitter and all my followers will see my work. This could be of benefit... if I actually submitted to Triond. I have been a little remiss in that area of late but do have an article in mind that I hope to write soon. I don't spend as much time on Facebook as I used to. I check in a couple of times a day to see what people are up to, see if there are new pictures (especially from family members), and to keep an eye on what my kids are doing. I really need to focus on my writing (which is why I haven't even been HERE that much).

I actually have one account at each but use them in entirely different ways. For informing others about changes about me or my business, I use Twitter. It's a bit more impersonal, I can't get involved one-on-one with my customers, BUT if I want to have a special limited-time sale, it's easier to do that on Twitter. Facebook I use for more personalized contact as well as bookings. I don't use it to promote my website or product line as much since there are children who see my Facebook account (or are friends and family who are underage).

I have both a facebook and twitter and it is a good social way to interact with people online. Both are great but facebook has been around longer and is better. Twitter is gaining more people every day and growing at a rapid pace.

I have a facebook account as well as a Twitter. To me, facebook is much better. Everyone I know is on facebook, and only about 2 people I know are on Twitter because they all think Twitter is stupid. All Twitter lets you do is type what you are doing. Facebook has a lot of different things to do and more things to interest people. I guess it just depends on your preference. If you don't want to keep up with alot, then Twitter is really easy. You just type what you are doing...thats really all there is to it. However, if you want to talk to your friends, play games with them, chat live with them, look at tons of pictures, etc, then Facebook would be better.
