My cat gave birth to two kittens and she never made no fuss and never cried out in pain all she done was breathing heavy, yet when we give birth we shout and scream in pain.It is her first litter and she is soo proud. To her it was like she has done it soo many times no mess no noise no fuss.Im amazed she never made any fuss what so ever.

Yes I think animals do it a lot easier than us humans, I saw a goat giving birth to three babies and i was amazed how easy it seemed to be, she just stood there and when the baby popped out she just turned around as if to say hello to it, it is beautiful to see animals being born but i think most times it is scary to see human babies being born, I wonder why it is so hard for humans.

cats, like most animals don't have too much pain in giving birth - NORMALLY
one of the reasons humans have so much pain is that we have large brains, and the size of the brain is why it hurts so bad, the woman's pelvis is barely able to expand to the point of giving birth - have you ever wondered why human babies are so immature complared to other primates?
another reason is that we, in the west, expect it to hurt really bad, other places they say that the women don't hurt as badly - maybe because they are sitting up and letting gravity do some of the work
So, look at the size of the kittens, the maturity of the infants as compare to a human. Their eyes and ears aren't open yet, now, rodents are even more immature at birth, its an investment in the species. The more immature the infants, the easier to abandon them if they have to be abandoned (and I have a couple of abandoned kittens in my household, so I do know what I'm saying here.) The more immature, the more likely after they are killed or abandoned, the mother will become fertile again.
so, what does mom and babies look like?
