Different people in the different people include different things in their meal. But there is particular food or food crops that people take daily in their meals. Well at least in my country this is the case. The main food crop of our country Nepal is rice. Than with the rice we include some lentils, and vegetables(potatoes and other green vegetables.) I am happy with the fried potatoes with the green onions, and so on... Well we call our daily food dal(lentils), bhat(rice) and tarkari(vegetable). And we include the pickles too..... What about you?

Hi there I work with my husband who is a chef, and we cook only fresh produce - always using fresh, good quality vegetables, usually a minimum of 2 - 3 with each dish. However, having fresh vegetables is not the overall solution - in order to benefit from the nutrients contained within these vegetables, it is essential to include an amount of salt, which releases the goodness contained within. But beware, refined salt (commonly known as table salt) does not have the same effect as using Natural Grey Sea Salt - it is only this type of salt which will benefit your diet, and allow your body to absorb all those useful vitamins and nutrients. So, the most important food for me is Natural Grey Sea Salt!

Hello twinlady, you seem to be very much educated with these sort of things. And about salt, I didn't think about it. I hope the salt we get here is also the natural salt. Thanks for your response...Happy mylotting...

the salt I see here is all white in color. I don't see any sign of gray color in it. And I wonder, do we get such sort of natural gray salt over here or not. till today, I have only seen white salt.

The way to test whether the salt you buy is natural grey sea salt is to look at the colour. It should be grey, and darker in colour at the bottom of the container. This is because the salt has taken and stored all the essential elements which your body needs to help it to keep healthy. It should be moist to touch, and it should be formed in cubic crystals. If the salt you buy is white in colour, then it has been subjected to some sort of refining process, and will not be beneficial to you. If you would like any further information on natural grey sea salt, then perhaps you would like to read my discussion "Natural Grey Sea Salt -v- Refined Salt". I would also be happy to pass on any further information you might want from the facts that I know about, or indeed, to refer you to other material which has been researched and written by professionals on the subject. For me, it is only ever natural grey sea salt.

Well, normally it's pretty balanced. Fruit, Veggies, Meat, Bread, Milk. Basically. Depends on the meal. Usually there is cereal or eggs and such for breakfast, it all depends on what you want. For lunch, there are sandwhiches and pasta, and fruit to choose from. For dinner, it's usually a good variety. Always Vegetables, Meat, Bread, and Milk for sure. Sometimes some fruit things for dessert. Usually thats about it. As for specifics, well. Uhm. Heres a list of normal things we have:Vegetables: Corn Green Beans Potatoes Tomatoes Raddish Carrots Pickles Fruit: Apples Pears Bananas Meats: Pork Beef Chicken Bread is pretty self explanitory. Milk, dairy. Sometimes yogurt and such, but usually just some milk of some kind.

Here we usually take rice as well when having lunch and dinner. Yeah rice is the staple food for people in our country. We like to take rice together with three different dishes daily. We would more delicious dishes and foods in festive days. The daily dishes we usually have are mostly vegetables like spinach, baby potato leaves, chinese flowering cabbage, celery, long beans, lady fingers and many other local vegetable as well. We love curry chicken and potato. Another favorite dish is the hot and spicy shrimp paste. We could finish a bowl full or rice or more with either one of the yummy dish Happy posting

I think rice is the staple food of whole Asia. I don't know about other regions. Rice is the compulsory thing in my food and like in your country, we also have some vegetables(potato, cabbage, cauliflower, various beans), Dal(any liquid food) and spices. And in festive day, there is really the variety of pickles, vegetables and other stuff to it. We have some peculiar type of food here and mostly in the festivals and any parties we eat them. What is hot and spicy shrimp paste??? I have never heard of that?

Er, there's no real regular thing. Leftovers, I guess, but that's not one sort of food that we have EVERY day. If I'm eating breakfast regularly, then, cereal. Which, mine's made from corn...but I don't tend to, so...yeah. Sometimes we have bread regularly for dinner too...but not usually every day either.

Pulao means the rice fried in ghee with some other stuffs like nuts, isn't it. Here in Nepal we call pulao for such rice... And yes, dal and vegetable, that's the same thing for us. Enjoy your food...

Our country is so diverse that we all eat different things. I think if I were to pick one common thing it would be bread, but even that is made in many different ways. When you make rice and dal to you make them in different ways each time, using different spices and herbs? Making different foods each meal is important here. We make rice by boiling, baking, frying and in other foods like vegetables and meats. Not many make dal but when I do I make it with different spices for different flavors.

Hello savypat, I hope with the diversity in your meal each day, hope you people will always be eager for eating each time. That would be very interesting.... Here as I have said rice, Dal and vegetables. Well rice is the compulsory things for us. No one miss thing thing in their meal. There is some difference in the Himalayan(mountain region) though. And about Dal I meant, any moist or liquid food that helps to make the rice moist and easier to swallow with taste. That doesn't need to be the particular species of lentil and so on...And the similar thing with the vegetables... Yes we make rice the same way as you described. People normally used boiled, baked rice. And fried rice is only done, if it was bound to be kept in refrigerator the previous day. And yes, I hope people are very good in cooking out there. Specially when they have to prepare the diverse foods. Enjoy!!!! and thanks for your response...

I include a meat and two vegetables with my meals. I also include a slice of bread and something to drink. I also have a dessert such as an apple,a cup of crushed pineapple, grapes, a slice of watermelon, or 1/4 of a cantaloupe. In other words, I have fruit for my dessert. For my drink, I usually have water, iced tea, kool aid, or cranberry juice. My meat might be chicken, salmon, meat loaf, or a meat pattie. My vegetables might be corn, english peas, a salad, sauerkraut, a baked potato, baked beans, etc. I love corn, though. I have it with just about every meal. Kathy.

We do have rice here. I just don't eat it all the time.I like to eat it whenever I go to a chinese restaurant. I like to eat brown rice occasionally. It's high in fiber and I have to eat a high fiber diet. Kathy.
