Now that the swine flu is no longer front page news are you feeling less stressed by this or are you being very careful to wash your hands and those of your children? I think now it may be even more dangerous, we are so tuned into a new exciting stress each week that when the new one comes along the old one fly's away from our conscious minds.

Hi savypat, I am still careful although I don't know anyone who has had the flu. I've always been careful about washing my hands so that is really no great change. I agree with you and think that we must continue to be conscious that it still around. Blessings.

Hi, Pat!
Since I spend every day with 3,000 kids, I always worry about colds and flu. The safety issues that were so publicized might be news to most people, but to teachers, they're everyday things. The kids did use an awful lot of my hand sanitizer - I'd rather let them use it than do without it - than usual for a while, but teachers are constantly washing hands and grabbing Kleenex!

I never was stressed out about it, There's 60 odd cases in the UK at the moment and no deaths out of a population of more than 60 millions. That's about a million to one chance that I'll catch it. So whats to get stressed out about especially as it does not seem to be as dangerous as the news media made it out to be.

I wash my hands so much it give me exzema, so I just don't worry about the flu. I mean, there is already too much to worry about, so why concern myself with something I can do nothing about.
I've only ever had a flu once in my life. I've never had the shot and NEVER WILL, either. With my luck, I'll have a reaction or something. My 90 yr old Gramma got the shot, because she is now in a home (by her choice), so is at risk, they said, and she's been sick ever since. So, I just don't trust it.
I just don't think I am at risk anyway. I stay on the farm for the most part, so I'm not working in some tiny office with recycled air all the time or interacting personally with a lot of people.
I'll stick to my animals. They never make me sick.

Hey pat~ You are so right! I do hope that people are not
going to forget that the swine flu is still a danger! Just
because it isn't in the top news stories doesn't mean that
it isn't still a dangerous flu! In fact, two days ago three
more schools were closed in NYC because of it! And one of
my mylotter friends told me that one of the schools that
were closed was very close to where she lives! So it is very
much still a present danger!

Swine flue is still alarming.Yesterday in an Indian airport a passenger was detected as swine flue affected person.WHO earlier declared swine flue may be spread over one fourth area of the world .Third word countries that means poor countries will be affected more.
