hey guys, i dont know what the problem is, but i tend to forget names very easily. Quite recently when people introduce themselves to me in a social gathering, like a bar or pub. before i finishing introducing myself back, i have forgotten their names, and its no joke. This one time, a girl told me her name, and in a few seconds i forgot it. I had to call her darlin the whole night. dont know what the problem is ????

Its not dyslexia, dyslexia is when you get letters and number confused like instead of spelling grape you would spell it garpe. I get my numbers mixed up, so when I am writing down a number I tend to have to check it a million times to be sure its right, and I still have to get somebody else to check it, becuase I read it backwards. How old are you? Do you play games like soduko? They keep your mind young, and sharp so you won't forget things that easily. It happens to a lot of people, but there are little exercises you can do to keep your mind young and sharp I know soduko is one of them, I am sure you can find more on the internet. I wouldn't worry about it, just be upfront and say I am aweful with names so you may have to repeat it a couple of times. I to forget names right away, but its usually only because I am consentrated on the conversation that usually comes after hand.

This is not an uncommon problem and actually one that I've had for years. Someone on some television show once talked about this and suggested that, when you are introduced to someone, respond by saying "Hello [insert name here] and then go on to introduce yourself. By saying the name yourself you are putting the information into a different part of your memory. I've tried this and sometimes it works...sometimes it doesn't.

Hello, enetworking! Well, that was not dyslexia. Dyslexia is a disorder by which a person tends to read inverted. In your case, maybe you have a short term memory. You should go to a neurologist to help you in your problem. Happy mylotting!
