How often do you vacuum or sweep?

I guess you could say that I am asking this question because i am nosey...I know we don't always get to vacuum our house as regularly as we would like due to work & other commitments. I am a stay at home mom so I have plenty of time when I'm not doing other things but I always try to vacuum first thing in the morning EVERY day. I do this because if I skip a day, the floors are grotty. We get a lot of traffic through the house plus with having a toddler & 2 dogs, you can probably understand why I vacuum once a day - sometimes it should be twice a day but I never get time to vacuum in the afternoon. What about you?

Since it's just my husband and me...and the two dogs...and the two cats...I vacuum once a week. The dogs don't shed much and we're not home all day because we own a business so the house doesn't get very messy. The grandkids come over just about every evening but they're not here long enough to make a mess either.

I was the same when I was working - just once a week was enough because no one was in the house all day but now that I'm a stay at home mom to a 2 year old, you can probably understand why I have to vacuum every day plus I hate the feel of dirt under my feet when I walk on the tiles.

I don't vacuum, EVER! Well for one thing, we don't have a vacuum cleaner...and another is, We don'e have a vacuum cleaner. Hehehehe..
I try to sweep the floors everyday however sometimes I get a little lazy and do it every other day. :)

I was sweeping a few times a day before I bought my new vacuum which was fairly cheap. I can understand the lazy part, I get like that sometimes if the floors aren't too bad.

Yeah, I know...even though I only have 1 daughter, I may as well say I have 4 kids - the other 3 are: hubby & 2 dogs :p

I usually vacuum or sweep every other day depending on the traffic of the day. I like to have a clean house at all times but with a 3 year old granddaughter that is quite difficult.

I can understand - my daughter is 2 so I am constantly finding toys every where like under the couch!! My hubby vacuumed this morning & within 30 mins, we had grass on the carpet again from my daughter & the dogs walking it in :(

I wish I could be that motivated but I use old sheets on my sofas & they get washed once a week or more depending on how dirty they get

We sweep the floors daily at our house. We only have one carpeted room and it gets vacuumed every couple of weeks. I'm not always as good as I should be about housework but I do the best I can while trying to take care of my son, run errands, cook, make money, etc. Busy life!

I can understand you busy lifestyle, I have the same so I normally do my "quiet" housework or make money from home while my daughter has her daytime sleep.
