My year old daughter is great, she will try anything more than once - even if she doesn't like it, she at least tries it & I'm hoping that she will continue to do so as she gets older. My friend however has a 3 year old boy who won't try anything so she ends up having to cook something separate for him than herself. I would NOT be able to handle that, I have told her if it was my daughter, I would just keep giving her what I cook for my huby & I & if she didn't like it, she would go hungry. What are your thoughts? My friend's son won't even try mashed or baked potato & yet he'll eat chips & he won't eat anything else but sausages, fish fingers or chicken

i have a kid who just turned 3 but she is so hard to feed. she wouldn't even try other kinds of food and when i force her to eat, she just cries and it crushes my heart. she only eats chicken, hotdogs, and spaghetti. we had to resort to some expensive brands of milk to supply her with all the nutrients she needs everyday.

My friend has had to resort to kids vitamins to ensure he's getting proper nutrients. I am so glad my daughter will eat anything & eats her veges before anything else.

My son had his second birthday yesterday. He like me, eats a vegan diet. He is very fussy with his food. He likes rice cakes, ginger bread men, popcorn, muesli bars and biscuits. He has to drink a soya drink with lots of vitamins and goodness in it. I have tried him to get to eat fruit and vegetables, pasta and rice. Some children can be fussy with their eating. I know I am really fussy with my food. Your friend's three year old sounds like he has similar issues to my son. I have tried giving him a healthy meal but he won't eat it and then can cry for three hours.

Yeah, I think my friends son has some real issues when it comes to food. I am glad my daughter will try anything more than once - she's definately not fussy. Happy birthday to your son, I hope he had a great day.
