I started going to flea markets several years ago and you can say that I'm hooked on it. I often scour these places to look for bargain prices on almost anything. This morning, I went with a friend to an "ukay-ukay", where second-hand and surplus clothes are sold. I didn't bring that much money but I still got two valances and four big throw pillow cases for only one hundred thirty pesos
(about 2.5 dollar). How about you? Do you also go to flea markets or bazaars or secondhand clothes? What was your best find?

Hi diutay,
Well done to you and its real thrill to get something you like quite cheap. I once went t a charity shop and found a lovely black leather jacket which I still wear and people think I paid a lot of money for it but it only cost me £5.00 les the 10 dollars I think.

I don't go to these places anymore but I know that you can rack up some good savings and the sellers can rack up some good money. It's fun to look at things like this and know that not only are you helping your wallet but also the environment by buying things that would normally just be thrown out if it didn't sell, or they couldn't get rid of it!

No problem, happy scavenging for good buys! It's nearly summer so maybe you can find some good summer things or even winter things people are trying to sale!
Have a wonderful day!

I love going to markets etc here in the UK you can get so many things a lot cheaper than the named shops and just as good, there are also lots of bargains, I have bought trainers and a duvet set for $20 and there are fleeces dresses and tops going for very low prices..we also have a shop where you can buy everything for £1 ABOUT 50cents and it sells all sorts of china airtight containers loads of things just for a pound, have picked up gardening tools, picture frames named food all for a £1 each it is amazing if you look around as to what you can get....littleowl
