something on the internet, there were hardly any for it, and now there are many? Every year, I looked for recipes for using dandelions. Right now, there is an explosion of yellow color everywhere. So I searched for dandelion flower recipes. What a wonderful surprise. In years past, I only found dandelion wine and pancakes. Then a year or two ago, I found dandelion syrup and jelly. But this year, all kinds of recipes. Soups, deserts, all kinds of stuff. There is actually supposed to be a 101 recipe dandelion cookbook. I've never seen it, just heard about it. So do you look for more recipes for something and there used to be very few and now there are a bunch of them? Are you still looking for some recipes for something? Or have you never had this experience or even thought about trying every so often?

First let me say how amazing I find it to be that there are so many things made from dandelion. I can't imagine what the syrup or jelly could be like. I have had this experience searching for all sorts of things on the internet. I learned quickly to download, copy and paste, or print things I found helpful and informative as web sites often disappear.

I print out and put in a file for that reason. Sites do come and go.
Actually, since most recipes tell you to put lemon or orange extract in them, they taste like orange or lemon jelly. But without the extracts, it sort of tastes like a strange honey. Not like clover honey, but its own taste. Some recipes call for dandelion honey, that's what they mean, dandelion jelly without the extracts. But I left it cooking too long while on the phone once, overcooked, turned brown, and made one heck of a cough syrup.
Actually found 20 recipes for everything from soup to deserts. Take care.

Hi, Edge!
This recipe searching can be such fun! I used to search in vain for Cuban recipes, since my husband is from Havana, but there were rarely any at all. Now they're everywhere, and more interesting all the time. It's fun to try them if I can figure out what some of the ingredients look like, so I can find them at the grocery store. A lot of things look similar, and I don't know which is which, but there's usually someone who can help. In fact, living in Miami means almost everyone is Hispanic, so I sometimes feel as if I'm the only Americana in town! Anyway, the recipes are fun.

My brother goes down there once in a while and he has picked up some Spanish. This was the brother who couldn't see a reason to learn another language in High School!
Sounds like your quest for Cuban recipes is like mine for wild food, pretty much never ending. I had a bunch of beans and wanted different recipes. The next thing I know, I see a cuban beans and rice recipe. It sounded very good. That's the only time a Cuban recipe came up for me. But I look forward to more in the future. As you say, more are coming all the time!
