I came across this site and noticed that the author is noting one accomplishment that she had for the day. She said that this keeps her sane from all the busy buzz of life. In my case, I totally agree with her. We had become so consumed of pitying ourselves for not being the best that we can be or for not meeting other people's expectations. And I think this is unhealthy. So everyone, let's given ourselves a pat in the back and take pride in broadcasting your accomplishment to the world. I for one has decided to start a small home business, I'll be ordering the products within this week and start my journey in becoming an entrepreneur! How about you? What have you done lately? (Idea stolen from Ms. Veronika http://lifecoachintraining.blogspot.com/2009/05/accomplishment-day-keeps-shrink-away.html )

This is actually a very interesting concept and I have to say that it is one that would definitely help keep the shrink away as the link states. In a world where we have to be the best in order to be ahead of everyone else and be at the very top. We are usually consumed by all of this and blinded to notice that we should be thankful for even the smallest of achievements instead of just looking at the "big picture." One accomplishment that I did today, which might be little is that I comforted a friend that was in need. I am caring and comforting to my friends and an ear that will listen and give advice. But this is something that makes me feel good about myself as a human being is that I contribute my part in making someones day a whole lot easier when they are going through a rough patch in their lives. Something else that I would like to add is a gratitude list. The person making the list would go ahead and list every simple thing that they are thankful for. For ex. Having a roof over there heads, clothes to wear and even food and clean water to drink. We tend to overlook these things in our busy day to day lives.

They say that altruism was a result of nature. Since it's survival of the fittest, our ancestors developed a trait of helping their own kind. How? Rooted in protecting oneself, this evolved to man helping his fellow men in order to protect the gene. So they say that the good feeling can be an encouragement to help others and promote the human kind. Well, that and the belief that all men are created good.

Well, I turned and fed the compost today. ^_^ I used my home-made organic insecticide on the just-finished tilled garden plot. Planted my Mom's lilies...and the rose/blackberry/dewberry/? thing. Helped carry out the fence that was taken down today. Helped weed out the catnip patch... ...dang, it took us all day and listing it makes it seem like nothing! xD

Wow, that's really something! i like i how you're trying to grow organic plants. I'm trying a similar venture myself. I want to market organic body care. I know you might now be able to avail of it since I'm from a diff country. But check it out... It's like affordable organic products. mangobutter.multiply.com

Oh my, I think one accomplishment that I've had for the day was to clean up a bit from the mess I made at my partner's home. She graduated this weekend, well walked because she has three more classes to take till she's done, and I stayed at her place to go to the graduation. I cleaned up what I had left and tried to make it better than I had arrived before. I also got a few things I needed from the store so that was an accomplishment today. But that wasn't the greatest thing. I posted on mylot! lol

Wow... well, for me that's really an accomplishment. I don't really like doing chores and leave those to the experts. But when I was staying alone when I was in college. I had to do so or else live a stinky life... Sigh

I actually accomplished a lot today!!! Boy did it feel good. I got my apartment cleaned today. After that I worked on the yearbook that I'm making for my Pre-K class. After that I worked on some lesson plans. And finally at the end of the evening I had some relaxation time!! It was definitely a successful day and I feel ready to sleep and start another day.

Yea, i do count my accomplishments for the day! and not only that.. i count my blessings and i name them one by one....in this dog -eat -dog society, we need to learn how to live our life. one day at a time. so that in the hustles and bustles of life - we still keep our bearing. and oh one thing more, do spend a quiet moment just soaking in the Lord's presence. it's a time where you can be alone and maybe just some music to soothe your soul.

I wish you the best of luck with your venture into business. There will be many hard days but the good ones make it all worthwhile I assure you. In the spirit of your thread I am going to get my first posts up on my new website venture. I have been putting it off for a while now, I am not sure why as the results will be good.

Congrats on becoming an entrepreneur! My accomplishment for the day would be to pass it uneventfully! If the housework has been done, my kid's gone to school, my office has gone peacefully and I have reached home well in time for another round of housework and at the end of the day I am stil in one piece without any headache,I consider it a great accomplishment

Hi there friend. I think that most of us, if not all have small accomplishments every day. For today i have had quite a few, and there are more still planed (it's just 18:00 p.m.). I managed to work on my final exam (it consists of a 90 page paper that i have to write, and my progress is encouraging), and i did the shopping for my girlfriend. Later on i will go to my girlfriend's place, where i will take today's purchased items, and there we will enjoy each other in various ways . I know for sure that she had at least one accomplishment of her own, as she took and passed one of her early failed exams from last year, and i believe that she also managed to work on her final paper (similar to mine).

My husband and I started our own business in January and it's doing well so that's an accomplishment...but my greatest one is the fact that I make my grandchildren smile every day and today was no exception. The ice cream man was coming...the two older ones (boys) can running up onto my deck (they live nextdoor) and I was ready with a dollar for each of them! The little accomplishments are the best ones sometimes.

I agree - the little unnoticed accomplishments of day to day sometimes even proved to be the most memorable and important ones when you think about it... Hmmm, wish an ice cream man appears soon, it's scorching here. By the way, I'm trying to do business concerning organic products. wish me luck

I am helping someone in need today by giving him some changes i have in my pocket while begging me during my grocery shopping, it probably sound ridiculous to you i considered it is an accomplishment, and laugh at my stupidity. Whenever i help someone in need of help with a little of what i have, i regard it as an accomplishment even though it is not something that will give me great wealth and bring me great return, when i get to see someone not have to go hungry for a day because of my little help , then it is an accomplishment for me!

Hey, Well I don't really accomplish much during the day, I just post on myLot a few posts per day, but that could be an accomplishment in itself. I think that even posting on myLot would require dedication every single day. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

Great idea! Instead of focusing on what you DIDN'T get done, applaud yourself for what you did manage to do. Myself, I just came in from playing in the dirt in the yard. I tore up some old edging around a flower bed in the front yard and put down some new, then watered the plants and all to settle it in. It's not finished yet, but it looks a lot better than it did.

I reply to the emails of my old old friends. Probably a start of new beginning. Wash a truckload of my clothes. Clean up my room. and everything that could spark a new start.
