When you look for a discussion to respond to.....

I was just curious about when you all look for discussions to respond to where do you look first?
I myself like to check the no responses section first. Then I check to see if any of my few friends have started and interesting discussion. Then sometimes when I am responding a see something interesting off to the right side under similar topics.
How about you? Any good tips for looking for good discussions?

I try to respond to the new ones because the author might still be on line and we'll have a chance to reply back while the post is fresh. I like it when I suddenly start a conversation with a fellow mylotter. It gives an avenue to explore the subject that we started.

Ahh very good point posham. replying back and forth is always fun because you actually get to interact with the person in almost real time and it does indeed open the door more. Thanks so much for your response I do appreciate it and also I hope you had a good weekend :) Happy mylotting :)

Personally, I check the ones under "no responses" first. Then I go to the "new" section to see if I could post a response to any of the discussions there. Next I go to "my interests" and then I also check the "friends started" section. But I don't post responses just for the heck of it. I respond to posts that I could relate to or have an answer for, such as this one. I guess that's one reason why my myLot earnings are quite slow. :)

Hi moon thanks for responding. That's a pretty good method to use I didn't even think about checking the "new" section. I agree I only respond to discussions that I am genuinely interested in or can provide help or something. I know many are replying just to earn but then they don't always give good quality responses.
Well I've been here at mylot for about a week or so and my earnings are 84 cents. I don't know if that's good or not but I'm just truly having lots of fun here. I am a member at another place that I like to call " the spam bucket " for obvious reasons, and never had such quality interaction there ( except for with a few select friends ) as I do here.
