As some of you may remember, I was whinging about my house mate not putting in any money towards the shared groceries like milk, bread & cleaning products...She is now!! I put up a nasty note on the fridge like I did about not doing any housework that basically said to put in $20 a month for the shared items or buy your own & if she didn't like it, she could lump it. So since then, she has been putting money towards the shared products!!! YAY :p

That is awesome! I love that some people will actually take a hint. I always had roommates that were just too self-centered to care. Im glad that you arent stuck with people like that! One thing that I have learned about roommates is an open line of communication is vital! If one person is unhappy about something, there needs to be a way to discuss it. If not, everyone will be miserable until you can all move out! I hope there arent any more problems that arise.

Yeah it's good when people finally take the hint...my hubby & I had spoken to her 2 or 3 times before I wrote the rude note & put it on the fridge.

WOW, needing a note. That should be in the contract or something. I have lived with roommates loads, the biggest problem was always, them eating my food, we never did keep a shared budget, I will have to suggest it to that place. The second biggest was no one would ever clean up after themselves. Anyways, Way to go, hope her attitude stays up there. Cheers.
