i really don't know about Cebu because i really haven't been there. but some of my former co-workers told me that Cebu is like another world, some say it's what a NCR supposed to be like and some even wanted CEbu to be the NCR and not manila because of it's beauty. I know Manila and it's a nice City but filled so many unwanted people like beggars, street children and crooks.. i wish i could go there someday..

wohoo! i love the question. since i am a pure-blooded cebuano, i would say cebu is the best. not only because i've lived here all my life but also because i've been to manila and i never wanted to go back there. the traffic, the language, the people, i think that's too much for a kid to handle. i was traumatized. when i was a kid, i went with my mother to manila. when i saw manila, i was so overwhelmed by the crowd, the pollution and the noise. don't get me wrong cebu has busy traffics too and pollution. but not even close to what manila has to offer. everything there is just very congested and crowded. well then i've made my point. cebu is the best! all in favor say, aye!

Cebu is the better choice. Manila is too clogged and congested. And I guess it's high time for us to shift and distribute not only the resources but the population as well.

I would say Cebu, coz I've been living in Manila or Metro Manila (I'm in Quezon city right now)all my life, just a change of scenery I guess, I've never been to Cebu but heard a lot of beautiful things about it. I want to stay there for a vacation.

I'd say Cebu has the mix of the natural resource, and the urban environment, but for me, I'd choose Manila. Most major events, like the Davids' concert, are held in the capital of the Philippines. This is where you can find most headquarters, too.

Best for what? Best for you? Probably Cebu. The urban environment of many without the hassles. Best for me? Stay in Manila. Its getting crowded in here. I lived in Manila for 5 years, and I can say that the difference is huge. The commute time alone makes the quality of life here in Cebu better than in manila. Health care is mostly similar as is the telecommunications infrastructure. Same with schools and other stuff.

I guess it depends on your lifestyle. If you like a mostly urban life which includes crowded streets, heavy traffic, modern infrastructures, commercial shopping malls, along with all sorts of pollution, then Manila is an ideal place for you. If you prefer a mix of urban and rural life, then Cebu is more ideal. Personally, I would prefer Cebu because of what I just said. There are also lots of beach resorts in Cebu (and fine delicacies) that you cannot find in Manila. Likewise, Cebu is more strategically situated if you like to travel a lot e.g., you can visit Bohol, Leyte, Negros easily from there. There is also an international airport in Cebu if you like to travel abroad.

It would be Cebu for me because it is much accessible from my province of negros oriental and the language is not a problem and it is not too crowded like manila and lesser in air and noise pollution. And I have a place to stay there for free LOL and my brothers and cousins work there and I have friends there and my MOm was from there. And resorts are much accessible with in the city and nearby cities, towns or islands.
