How many times you check you cell phone for new txt msg?

Yes, even I am one of those sorts. What's worse is sometimes when some music is playing on the television, it seems to me that it's my cellphone's tone and I go and check out my phone. Maybe this is what is called 'one's ear ringing' or maybe 'mobile slave'?

Oh yeah, I'm guilty of this. LOL ^_^ Just to make sure I can read the messages for me on time for sometimes those messages are very vital. ^_^

Ummm... My cell phone actually beeps when I get a new text message... Sometimes if I'm taking a shower or not near the phone, I'll check it once I get to it but I usually have somewhere near me so I don't check my phone unless I hear it beep or hear the phone ring...

Never, because I don't have that capability. I told the phone company I don't text and I don't want anyone texting me. I can't see wasting my time and money just to text. I rather talk to the person. Its faster and easier. Texting just waste so much time and energy.

I am guilty of this exact act. I check my cellphone for any missed calls and any text messages that I might have gotten. Since I work for the majority of the day, I usually get new text messages from my friends as we can't call each other and talk during work. Has anyone ever thought that this might be classified as an OCD?

well i check on my phone not quite frequent as i'm on my laptop almost every hour lol, but i do carry my phone around me, even if i'm having my breaks/meals my phone's on the table, so...no miss outs XD and of course i would definitely know if some1 texted me because of my vibrating alert and ringtone XD, although i didn't set my ringtone to the max volume, duh

I'm a cellphone addict so I check all the time when ever I have chance at work.You know sneak around since we are not allowed to bring cellphone during work time.

Same thing here. I don't need to check my mobile for new messages. I have alerts enabled. But once I used to have email alerts on my mobile, and you know what the mobile would be beeping all the time. So I disabled the alerts at that time, and used to check it every 10-20 minutes just to make sure that I rad errr.... I delete those tons of messages. Anyway I don't need to worry about that as I disabled it. Also my friends don't spam my phone.
