Thanks for posting this discussion. Im far away from my family so when i contact them i usually use the net. Because when you use a cellphone its too expensive. Two sites I use to communicate with them . It is yahoo messenger and skype.

I chat with friends and family on Yahoo chat. I have not visited chat rooms in a few onths when I was on-line dating. I hope I do not feel the need to return to one of those places, but I would try to pick a christian site if I did. On Yahoo I can see who is on-line and chat if I choose. I can select busy if to many people want to chat at one time or I can even become invisible if I am not in the mood to chat with just anyone. I have not tried MSN or other sites so I am not in a position to compare.

If you mean chat rooms, I really have no idea, I've never gotten into that. As far as websites or programs that work for AOL/MSN/etc.. there's a couple good ones out there. You can use Meebo (www.meebo.com) which allows you to use your favorite messaging software directly through your browser. Definitely helpful and cool when your at a computer which doesn't have the actual software installed on it. If you use a Mac, like me, you've probably used iChat, which is a great program for being included for free. Another great Mac application I can't recommend enough is Adium. It's infinitely changeable and can run almost any messaging host you want it to. For a windows, I use Pidgin, which is a fairly good program, also allowing you to run multiple accounts. There's a lot out there, so find your favorite and chat away.
