Daylight at 9:00 PM/ What time you go to bed?

I have taken my bath put on my night clothes, closed up the house, I am now ready for bed. I have my window shades closed, and I can still see that it is daylight outside, then I felt ashamed of myself, I am thinking it is still daylight outside and I am already ready for bed. Have you notice that the day light is lasting longer now that the time has changed and that summer is approaching? Do you still go to bed early?

Hi Chevee! Yes, the days are longer so of course the daylight is longer! It is now after 8:00pm and the it is still light out! I love it! I don't go to bed until sometimes early in the am so I don't know the difference! But, I hate that the sun comes up so early when I want to sleep later! I am sleeping when it is light out again and the sun is streaming through my windows making it very difficult for me to stay asleep! So I have the opposite problem as you do! I stay up later and want to sleep later, but have to deal with the morning sun!

I have to go to bed early because my job. I need to get up early in the morning to go to work. That is how it is. I can't stay late later than 10:00 P.M. or next day morning I felt completely exhausted.

When I wasn't working, I would go to bed around midnight or one am, and get up at about ten (lots of sleep, I know, but it was wonderful!). Now I usually go to bed at ten (pm), and get up at seven, but if I am really tired, then I can be in bed as early as nine. Sometimes it is still light, but it doesn't really bother me, I can still fall asleep. And I know that if I don't get enough sleep, I will have trouble focusing the next day. Sleep is very important to me, and I do my best to get the recommended eight hours a night :).

Living in south Texas I am more than happy to go to bed when the sun is still setting, but then from my bed in the summer I have a good view of the sunset or I close the curtains and I have a dark room. The body needs 6 to 8 hours of sleep each night, and most people in modern countries do not get that. I also save energy by not turning on the lights much in the summer, even though I get up early usually about 6 AM it is getting light or is light outside, and go to bed about sunset or an hour or so before sunset. It is my understanding that not turning on lights reduces the greenhouse effect also so it is good for the environment.

I don't ever go to bed early, unless I have completely exhausted myself. Early for me is 10pm. I wake up at 9am and that is early enough for me. My husband is on the radio, so we sort of live by his schedule. I would definitely feel weird going to bed before the sun went down.

I just go to bed whenever I feel tired - daylight or not LOL Lately sunset is around 8pm here, so I know how you feel. Feels odd having dinner when it is still daylight out.

Wow! daylights at 9pm! Where do you stay, how long does it stay this way, when will the days become shorter again, what time will you have sundown then? My place is in the east so the maximum daylight we have, in the height of summer is around 6/6:30 in the evening. But no matter, early to bed is a luxury for me...its seldom before midnight.

Nope for me it means I finally have more daylight hours in a day to do things. Be it inside or out. Early for me is normally around 10:30 and late is about about 2 am. Either way I still have to be up around 6 am. I LOVE having so many daylight hours! I always have hated winter and that is one of the reasons, not only is it nasty out but they take my day too!

It is impossible to see daylight outside when I go to bed. Recently I go to bed about 1 a.m. because my roommates all like to stay up late and they kind of influence me to some degree. I think there is no need to be ashamed of yourself because you go to bed so early, different people have different habits. To be honest, it is good for your health to go to bed early. I want to change my bad habit for the sake of my health.

I live in a Asian country, where there is no four seasons and the day and night time are constant throughout the year. Usually i do not go to bed early, unless i'm extremely tired on that day. Mostly i will go to bed at 1130pm or 12am midnight, after completing all the work on that day. Anyway, there's no harm going to bed early. Instead, it may be good for health too for sleeping early and have enough rest. Don't be too worry on this. Have a nice day. :)

I definitely go to bed earlier than most of my friends. To get up for work in the morning, I usually go to bed around 10 or 11. But sometimes, I get home and I'm just so tired that I'll fall asleep at 8! So don't feel bad; if you are tired, go sleep!

Oh summer is approaching faster than a speeding bullet! Dig out your summer clothes and swim suits for it's just around the corner! Days will be longer and the chores will be unending along with the fun! Whoo hoo!! lol Being basically retired, I don't have any set time when I go to bed. I go when I feel like going be it at 9:00pm or 4:00am, it's when ever I feel like going. Night time is my favorite time because it's so peaceful and quiet so depending on how tired or awake I am is also when I go to bed.

I don't normally go to bed early, but if I had to and the sun was still out, I'd go on to bed and sleep. I worked graveyard shift too many years to let something as simple as sunlight stop me from sleeping

Yup I also sleep at 9:00pm but I can go until 10pm and that's it, I need to sleep... 5:30 AM the sun starts to go up and I always feel that I have to wake up or I'm getting late doing my own stuff. I believe every early riser usually sleeps early...

I go sleep at 2am & get up at 7am. 5 hours of sleep. I tell myself I'm training to be a Navy Seal. Weekends, I sleep at 5am.
