I personally do not. I think that children are not animals. So, why would a parent treat a child like one? I just cant stand to see a child on one of those. I know parents say, well it's because my child does not listen or is just too crazy and wont stay by my side. I just dont buy it. My children expessially my oldest daughter is a wild child. I have gone grocrey shopping by myself with all 3 of my children. It's not easy nor fun but I manage. I just think some parents (NOT all) need to better control their child and not feel so embarressed at their childs actions. I used to feel so ashamed at how my children acted but I got over it, as they are children and they are just doing what most children do best.
Once again this in MY opinion. No rude remarks please. I just want to know if you agree with the "leash" or are you against it as well?

I don't see what the big deal is personally. It's not harmful at all. It's just like holding your child's hand except it gives your child a bit more range of movement but you are still in control of their movement and whereabouts. Children can disappear in seconds, that is all it takes. I think with the 'leash' it's a lot easier to keep tabs on your children.

I have one of them for my 2 year old. She only ever wears it when we are going somewhere crowded like the zoo and I don't want to loose sight of her. She is a wild child and she runs too far ahead. In normal everyday situations though I think they are not necessary.

I am a parent, and I can understand where those parents are coming fom whn they use it. But I do think it is wrong.
