i thhnk , that long back, even when our parents would be young , at that time i mean, people could buy cigarettes and could smoke anywhere, in the hospitals too. but today we are all aware of how bad smoking is to our health. smoking is estricted and banned in most of the places like public places, restaurants, schools, hospitals, garden areas, and the cigarette companies arealso no longer allowed to advertise on the television and all such media. smoking can cause our like , if i am not wrong , more than ten years . my pops smokes and iam really worried , very worried about his health. he dont even quit. because i know that once you strat, it is too hard to quit. tobacco contain nicotine, which is highly addictive . if any one person smokes, others are also affected. tat person is active smoker and others are passive.and people who smoke th ey loose their bone density, they develop yellow teeth and bad breath too. it feels really very bad after knowing all this and then my father.
i know that the only thing that really helps a person avoid the problems os smoking is staying away from smoke.and this isnt always easy. if you smoke did you ever ried quitting?, if you dont can you give me certain tips how can i help my ftaher?

I'm sorry but thats a REALLY BAD suggestion to make...I'm a long time smoker and a parent and if my kids started smoking (let alone in front of me) all it would do is tick me off...It certainly wouldnt make me quit though...Also I know several parents who's teen kids started smoking and rather than quitting themselves or flipping out they caved and started giving their kids smokes etc....

It's not a simple thing to helping other to stop smoking. Smoking is about of addiction. I'm not a smoker but i can give an advice based on my friend's father experience. Since he had surgical operation in his heart due to heart attack, he stopped to smoke. He was a hiper smoker before. He realized that it wasn't an easy thing to stop that bad habit. But later he tried to switching the smoke with coffee. Now, he drinks a cup of coffee anytime after his meals. Sometimes he drinks only one or two gulps. He successfully free himself from his smoking habit. He realized that smoking can harm his life after the surgical operation. Good luck and have a nice day. Happy mylotting.

has your father voiced to you that he wants to quit? If so then he should be able to go to his doctor for help with it (thats what my husband did)...if he HASNT though, there really isnt anything you can do about it other than letting your father know you dont like him smoking....
