what makes you a very good singer??

..since three years that i've been serving God through singing as a choir member in the church, i think i have the potential in taking such high notes but despite of it, i cant manage my voice..and thats the big problem..i dont know if warm up is needed but i think singing every sunday could be the best remedy to make my voice powerful..
