I am a tick magnet!

Ticks - stupid ugly ticks!

In the last week - me and my boyfriend have both found a minimum of seven ticks on each of us everyday. Maximum each of us so far has been fourteen. We haven't even gone near the woods on some of the days. I live in northern Wisconsin so I'm use to ticks but not so many - and it's only on me and my boyfriend - not on my grandparents or the dogs. Where do you live? Are there a ton of ticks where you are this year? Are you a tick magnet like me?

The only time I have ever had an issue with ticks is when I went camping back in elementary school. I was taking a bath after I got back and looked down and flipped out and started screaming for my mother!

Something I have heard works, is to take those tasteless garlic capsules. I think you have to take a few a day, but the ticks don't like garlic in the blood, and will not stay on you. It will actually come out through your skin (so your boyfriend and you both better use it or you will probably repel each other) When we lived in TN, the ticks were terrible. We would wrap those fabric softner sheets around are ankles under our socks, if we were going out to mow the grass, or to work in the yard. We didn't hear about the garlic until we had moved back West, so we never tried it. I had only one serious infection from a tick bite while we lived there. But I found dozens on me over the year we were there. And I had nightmares about the ticks and the spiders for months after we moved. I appreciate what your going through!

Back home in Ga there is the fear of ticks because the deer carry them everywhere but I have never had one. Maybe there's a sweet taste to you that's why they latch on. It's crazy that you guys have found so many lately.

We have a lot of deer here too. I must taste sweet. :) Ha ha. Found one yesterday when I went to the salon to get my hair done. That was one for me. Then, my boyfriend was getting his hair trimmed and he could feel one crawling on his leg. Stupid ticks!

I live in a wooded area of Tennessee. There are ticks here. Pull your socks up around the bottom of your pants so that the socks cover the pants. This makes it harder for them to get in that way.
