Help! Denied Access to some Sites Without Just Cause!

I need the help of all. I've been denied access to a couple of sites for no just cause. An example is www.interpals.net, an online penpal site. When I was in my home country I could log on to the site and I made one or two good friends there. I'm now living and working in Ghana and for almost three years I've been denied access to the site for no just cause. What is the way out? What I've put down is a source of frustration to me and I desire counsel to overcome it.

It is highly likely that the country you are currently living in is being blocked by the websites for reasons which they know best. Scanning and spamming by many members from the same region have always been the main reasons for a blanket ban. It is not fair to honest users but that seems to be the easiest solution for webmasters. Have you tried contacting the Admin and explain your predicament? If you are lucky there may be a mechanism where honest users can get in after giving reasons why they should be allowed to do so. As an extreme solution you may try using a proxy server or IP change software. Just bear in mind I do not recommend this action because you may ne caught, resulting in your username and email address used for registration being permanently banned. Do a search on it. all the best, rosdimy

I've been pushed to the wall and won't mind to try a proxy server or IP change. How do I have a proxy server or IP change?

Thanks very much, I was able to log on to the site I wanted through a proxy server website that I searched out online. I've noted the sites you suggested and I'm very grateful for your concern and kind assistance. You made my day!

Try WhatIsMyIPAddress.com. They have links that you want. Alternatively you can try CheckIP.org or IPCheck.org. Both sites used to exist. If you feel up to it do a search, and you will have to wade through many results.

You should try going to your Internet Options under Tools (If using IE (Internet Explorer) and go to the Security Tab and then to "Trusted Sites" and input www.interpals.net as a trusted site and restart your internet browser. If that doesn't work you should play with the Security tab a little to see if there is additional options you need to change such as the "Security Level". Hope that helps!

I've tried to adjust the security tab as you suggessted without any solution. It's difficult for me not to conclude that I, and surely many others, are just being discriminated against. Thanks for responding to my "cry for help".
