Hi there, What do you usually sell on ebay? And what kind of item considered as a hot item to sell on ebay? Has anyone of you been successful in selling items on ebay?

Last year, we moved from England to Spain, and we had to sell a lot of things. We had bought on Ebay, but never sold, so I was a bit apprehensive. We actually made quite a lot of money, as well as improving our rankings. If you have collector's items or unusual things, those are the best things to sell. I got good money for things like sheet music, collectable brass items, old primus stoves and things like that - stuff I was going to throw out or sell at a car boot sale for next to nothing, until a friend suggested Ebay! The item which made the most money was a small steam engine my husband built in the 1970's which had sat gathering dust in the cellar ever since. A friend advised us to put a reserve of £200 on it, and it sold for over £450, rising by almost £200 in the last hour of the sale! I would suggest putting up at least one picture of the item, and having it for sale for the maximum 10 day period, to give plenty of opportunity for bidders to get interested. If the item is valuable, put a reserve on it, but not too high, as if the item is unsold you still have to pay for the listing. And weigh your item before listing, so you can work out adequate postage costs. Don't be tempted to increase your profits by loading the postage costs, as this could put off buyers and earn you negative feedback. Good luck!

I have never sold anything on ebay, but I would love to sell autographed memorabilia's ,cause once you put it for auctioning, there is no limit to how much you can earn, from the bids. Anything from a tennis ball to a comic book signed by famous personalities, is worth a lot of money.

I very rarely sell anything on ebay as my ratings on ebay is not too much and I found it very hard to find a Buyer for my products.Until now I have sold several ancient coins which are hard to get and also a few electronic items.
