how paypal works?

i just created paypal today, and i wonder why paypal need the home address? what is it for? and how the paypal give us the money? direct send to our bank account?

I get my money directly transferred to my bank account from PayPal, although you can use the PayPal Top Up Card also, which is a debit card linked to your PayPal account. so there is no need for the registration of debit card in paypal?

You need to register a debit/credit card with PayPal to complete verification. Without that being completed, you have limits on what you can do: https://www.paypal.com/uk/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=xpt/Help/popup/Verification

Signing up for an account anywhere usually they would ask for an address though they don't send you stuff.
