How Animated Are You With Your Cats?

Hello myLot,
For as long as I can remember, I talk to my cats in my normal tone of voice some of the time. Mostly, I use a different, animated tone because they are so darn funny in the first place and being extra animated with them adds to the humor. Do you do this? Do you change your pitch, higher or lower, depending on what they do? If myLot had an audio section, I might let you hear how silly I get with my feline friends. On the other hand I may not do that. Everyone may think I'm wack. Anyway, I have a lot of fun with it. How about you?

Haha yeah I do the same thing, i talk to them like they are a normal person all the time, when i cuddle with them or they want attention i do talk some baby talk to them and make my voice high and say "oh yes i love you", or "youre a pretty kitty", and they really like it, i don't even have to pet them because they can just tell that im being affectionate with the sound of my voice.

That is so cute, spicy. I think most cat people do the same or similar. It just seems normal to be silly with our cats. Sometimes when I'm especially goofy around them, I have 7 in my house by the way, they look at me like I'm from another planet and it's even more funny. They pretend to act all grown up when I'm the goof but when it's time for them to act up, well that's just O.K. fine. What a riot. They're the best.

Lol I know exactly what you mean, sometimes when I act silly towards them or weird they give me this look like "Oh god she has lost her mind" and it makes me chuckle and then I realize im being too weird even for cats so i should just stop

My cat is very calm. She is 2.5 years and just pretty laid back. We do get her jumping around and she'll quickly just look at you and lay down. She has been checked out and seems to be fine. Just not playful :)

That is sweet. Give her a big hug from me. Calm cats are just as wonderful.
