I really need to clean my craft room as it looks like it blew up...but I am having a hard time finding the motivation to go in there and even start! Can you give me a pep talk? Help me find some motivation? Please? LOL

For starters turn off your computer. This will avoid temptation. Then think about how you can reward yourself when you finish cleaning the craft room. Think how fun it will be to turn your computer back on and get back on myLot. Maybe eat a chocolate apple as a treat. My craft area is neat it's the rest of my house, such as closets, that need help. I haven't been home long enough the last month to start any project or make any attempt to straighten up my house. It's clean but cluttered.

Believe me, I understand how that happens. I've been in the same situation being distracted by what I was trying to do and starting another craft. Shows our love for making different creations.

All I can say is just think of how easy it will be to find things when it is all put in it's correct place.

Hey jill! I thought that you were the one that was all into the spring cleaning thing! Now I know how into the crafts you are so you have to clean up that room! How else will you be able to do your crafting work if you can't find the things you need? If you fix everything up really neatly and put things where you will be able to find them your crafting will go alot smoother! Peppy enough?

I have the same problem myself. My home-office looks like a tornado hit it. I know I need to get in there a clean it up, but I never feel like doing it. I just can't make myself get in there and get at it. I guess I will get to it eventually.

I can be the boiggest procrastinator out. I have to give myself pep talks topo. what I find is effective is to do it in small stages. For example - time yourself for 15 minuted to see how much you can do in theat time and thne walk away from the room. Later in teh day give yourself a ten or 15 minutes cleaning up and then leave it agaion. You will be surprised how much can be down in that time. I usually put on the kitchen times and have a game with myself about how much I can accomplish in that time. (I really need to get out more! This method works for me so I do not feel so overwhelmed. Hope it works!

VEry good advice....the problem is that when I go in to clean I usually sit down and do a project instead of cleaning it up! LOL

You just need to be strict and kind on yourself at the same time. you HAVE to do it but it doesnt mean you have to do it in 1 go. is there something you do regularly like have a coffe or maybee even go to the toilet (which i know sounds gross) but ust do 5 minutes every time you have a coffe or even 2 minutes. After a day maybee a week it will be tidy but it will seem like no time has been spent on it. Do you like watching television comedy programmes or radio. Just try and think of things that you can do while tidying up if the regular thing doesnt work. if i need to tidy somewhere ill record jack dee live at the appolo and just play it in the day (as if i do it a night ill juyst go to be or fall asleep) and listen to it as i tidy.

Get off your Lazy behind and clean!! lol j/k Just think about how much better you will feel after the cleaning. How organized and clear headed you will feel, and MMMmmmMM smell that clean-ness in the air. You will feel a lot lighter.. happier and fresh. Now the exciting part... think about how you want your craft room to look like after you clean it and form a plan in your head of how you are going to to organize your craft room and go to your craft room and pick up one thing at a time. Good luck!!
